Video just to hand of road clearing up in the Bruny Island State Forest.

Hi all,

Camped up at the end of Cloudy bay, the camp site is about 4Km drive around the coast on the beach. Into 4wd and gave it a go, no worries. Came across a seal and a shark, both dead unfortunately, only one other camper here great spot. Today a bit cloudy but tomorrow is supposed to be sunny, good weather for a boat ride.

Hi all,

Stopped at a beach on the way to Kettering and found some awesome fossils in the rocks along the shoreline, and heaps of oysters on the rocks , big ones.

So we found our way over to Bruny and have already seen our first dolphin, just off the beach. We inquired about the boat cruise and booked for Friday, supposed to be the best weather then. Din is having second thoughts already.

Anyway found a little dirt track up into the hills and are camped up for the night. Will explore the island in the next few days.

Hi all,

Headed up from Cockle creek to Dover and around the coast to Geeveston, then out to the Tahune forest air walk. Camped at Arve river, then found a shelter in the bush so hung out some washing out of the rain. Next day took a back road into Huonville. Will follow the coast around to Kettering and catch the ferry to Bruny Island.

Hoping to do the boat ride around the coast of Bruny, or maybe wait till Port Arthur, they do the same thing there, depends on the weather.

Hi all,

From Southport to Cockle creek on the southern tip of Tasmania we found a forestry track and put the new tyres to the test, very impressed. At a small boat ramp near Cockle creek saw a huge stingray gliding around the jetty, camped for the night.

Walked down to the most southern point in Australia. Met a couple of Belgium lads and invited them to share our campfire, ended up playing Rodríguez and jamming with the guitar till late, was a good night, in the morning other campers said they enjoyed the show.

Walking along the beach and saw a huge jellyfish, been lucky with wildlife sightings.

Hi all,

Headed east from Scotts Peak Dam to New Norfolk and onto Hobart. Got a blowout on the inside dual wheel at the back. Changed the wheel and stopped at New Norfolk and contacted a friend who lives in Hobart now, he invited us to stay at his place. So we parked up in his driveway.

Into Hobart and got two new tyres, another one looked a bit to worn as well. Will look around for couple of days, his friend has a weekender on Bruny Island he said we could use, so will go and explore.

Sunday morning and heading out of Hobart, great few days, down to the markets, up to Mt. Wellington, all around town. Nice little city. But have had enough of population for now. Going to head down to Cockle creek, the furthest south we can go, then back up and around and over to Briny. Will let you know how it is.

Hi all,

Gordon dam, a huge engineering feat, we rocked up in time to see some people absail down the face of the dam. Must be a real rush of adrenaline. Then headed for Scotts Peak Dam, the furthest southwest we can go by road. On the way we passed Mt. Eliza, slowly visiting all the kids, just have to find a Katie and Nat.

Camped at a picnic area off the road with a fireplace in the shelter, Din loved it as the weather was cold again, down to 5 degrees in the morning. Was about 9:00am in the photo.

Hi all,

On the move again called into Lake Sinclair and came across a Tassie devil , then on the way out spotted the elusive Tassie tiger. Came to the turn off to Laughing jack lagoon  So had to go there, so glad we did. On the way there is this amazing wooden pipeline going for miles. It’s still in use, piping water from one of the lakes to god knows where.

From the lagoon to Hamilton, Maydena, Junee cave and out to lake Gordon.
