Gidday all,

Around the banks of the Tamar river we called into Beauty point and the Seahorse display, the giant Deep sea crabs they have there are massive. Then up the road had lunch, I had the curried scallop pie, yummy, most of the produce used here is Tasmanian and all very good.

Camped up at the moment at Lulworth on the coast will head up to Cape Portland on the very north eastern tip. Weather has been a bit warmer lately, in the 20s.

Gidday all,

From Sheffield to Latrobe where we visited the axemen’s hall of fame with a big platypus out the front, go figure, then on to the north coast. Camped at Bakers beach, then crawled around the coast on tracks to Clarence point where we found a little breakwater jutting out into the bay, so camped up for the night. It’s at the mouth of the Tamar river which leads down to Launceston.

Gidday all,

Well we’ve been up through the midlands and back to see our friends at Loongana, stayed a couple of days. She has a young paddymelon wallaby she saved when he was orphaned, he lives in the bush now but knocks on her door in the evening and comes in for a few titbits of greens from her garden. He brings about 7 friends with him but they stay outside.

Now heading through the midlands again towards the north east coast

Went through Sheffield the mural town, very good most of them.

Hi all,

On our way to Hobart stopped at the Antarctic Research Headquarters and met some nice dogs. Another nice stopover in Hobart, back on the road, heading up the midland Hwy. Stopped at Kempton for a night and headed on to Bothwell, looked in an old church, nice stained glass windows.

Went to the Nant distillery where they make single malt whisky had a tour and tasting, good afternoon. Then out to Lake Crescent, parked up for the night. Will go up north for a bit then back down through the middle towards the east coast.

Hi all,

Had a thrilling ride around the coast of Bruny and I at least enjoyed every minute, Din held up well for most of the way, all was well till one passenger got up and headed for the rail right next to her and gazed out to sea then started feeding the fish. She went quiet and turned a little green, luckily this was toward the end of the ride. She said she was glad she went but next time I’m on my own.

What a spectacular coast.
